Free, Hybrid Event ↗ Immersive Intelligence: Using Virtual Reality, Digital Twins, and AI to Understand and Enhance Human Performance Jeff Price, MFA – Associate Professor of Game Development and Virtual Reality, Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology at UT Dallas Immersive technologies are rapidly changing how we study, train and understand human behavior. This talk explores how virtual reality, augmented reality, digital twins, spatial computing and artificial intelligence can be combined to create controlled yet highly realistic environments for studying cognition, behavior, decision-making and human performance. Drawing from research and development underway in the Virtual, Augmented, and Simulation Technology (VAST) Lab at The University of Texas at Dallas, Price highlights how immersive environments can move beyond visualization and become powerful experimental and training platforms. Examples from this talk include simulation-based training, digital twins of real-world environments, photogrammetry and volumetric reconstruction, behavioral data collection, spatial interaction and AI-driven adaptive experiences.
